Playlist is a fast forward through all the million selling songs in UK history.
Misheard lyrics, dodgy cover versions, cheap jokes and absurd dance routines
combine as we face the music we’ve all rushed out to buy, but also reimagine
and poke fun at it.

From Taylor Swift to Teletubbies, White Christmas to Wonderwall, the list spans the icons and one hit wonders, anthems and earworms that have soundtracked our lives; it’s the nation’s mixtape, 70 years in the making.

Somewhere between a sketch show, dance performance, a Top of the Pops clipshow and an episode of Stars in Their Eyes, Playlist rewinds to ask what we can learn from the tunes that have brought us together over the years, as well as wondering if there will ever be another million seller, or if personal playlists spell the end of pop as we know it.

Playlist is currently in development and will be available for touring from Spring 2027.
